Silver Linings

I think we’re gonna be okay kid Now we laid it on the line I was eating up the cross streets While you were killing time Now I’m thinking in the future tense There’s voices at the end of the line We were underneath the bear cross thinking everything was fine I think we’re gonna be okay kid It’s just a glitch in space and time Sometimes you need a way out And I’m telling you I found mine Can you see us standing on the tracks? We’re hoping that the train’s on time It might be just a narrow path But it’s better than the end of the line And I intend to survive one journey at a time I’ve been driving to arrive Now I’m driven by design I got silver linings on my mind Siliver linings on my side Silver linings on my mind Silver linings on my side Do you think you’re gonna be okay kid My head’s in space but my hearts just fine Forgotten what it felt like In our crowded house are we out of time? I was riding in electric cars Just waiting for the future at another red light Alone on streets in bars A countdown through the end of the night And I intend to survive this night with the long knife I’ve been driving to arrive Now I’m driving through in style I got silver linings on my mind Silver linings on my side Silver linings on my mind Silver linings on my side Were you dreaming of me? While I was staring out the window at the 280? Is this what it means To have silver linings on my mind? Silver linings on my side Silver linings on my mind Silver linings on my side Silver linings on my mind Silver linings on my side

Scars 04:22
We all got our own scars to hide When they don’t fade in the dark You know they’re on the inside I told the truth when I could have just lied It’s just us People smile when they’re hurting inside When it won’t fade in the dark You know it’s on the inside I told the truth when I could have just lied It’s just us It’s just you and I We all got our own ways to hide Got a favourite place or a way to see the upside We all got our own scars to find It’s just us People laugh but it’s quiet inside Try to hide in the dark Blinking in the sunrise You told the truth but you should have just lied It’s just us It’s just you and I I’m the boy who lived I’m the scar you fixed I’m the dead air you filled I’m the blood, in the veins you spilled I’m the chance you missed I’m the lives you risked This is the fire, we lit It’s the truth you hid We all got our own scars to hide When they don’t fade in the dark You know they’re on the inside We all got our own scars to find We all got our own scars to hide When they don’t fade in the dark You know they’re on the inside We all got our own scars to find This is the dream we lived It’s the scar you fixed It’s the dead air you filled It’s the blood in the veins we spilled It’s the chance we missed It’s the lives we risked This is the fire, we lit It’s the scars, we hid It’s just you and I

This! This is my urban jungle It's where I sleep It's in my dreams And I stand alone I stand alone and I stand surrounded Every face is new Not a single face knows what I'm going through And this! This is the human zoo We scratch at walls We're breaking through And I look around I look around there's no-one beside me I was so cold But the sun came out and shone all day with you Here! These are my human truths They climb the walls They're seeing it through And now is the time Now's the time to run and hide I wanted to hold you Run straight through the tracks to the other side And this! Is this the way it is? We fight for air, we're stuck in the fix And now I'm alone, I'm all alone there's no voice inside me Out in the cold Got a shot in the dark got the past behind me This! This is what I'm gonna do I'm breaking down walls Just trying to get through And I look around, I look around there's no one beside I was so cold But the sun came out and shone all day with you I tried to breathe I tried to leave But the next street's still the furthest I can see I tried to breathe I tried to leave But the next street's still the furthest I can see Hey hey hey Hey hey hey I tried to breathe I tried to leave I tried to breathe But the next street's still the furthest I can see Hey hey hey Hey hey hey The next street's still the furthest I can see Yeah the sun came out and shone all day with you

I'm, burnt by your strength And I'm, ashamed to be young I fled my mind and what I saw was divine I won't forget what you said I'm, not sure of the cure this time It's more than I know Veins still running on empty I won't forget what you said Did you hear me cry your name? Did you hear me cry your name? Under the sun, under the rain it seems we're all the same Did you hear me cry your name? I, I took a deep breath And I, reached for your heart You took your time but the journey was mine I won't forget what you said You, you've been living down here with the ghosts. They want you to go. Veins still, opening easy I, won't forget what we said Did you hear me cry your name? Did you hear me cry your name? I felt your love I felt your pain and now we feel the same Did you hear me cry your name? Did you hear me cry your name? Did you hear me cry your name? I'll take the fall you take the blame and now it's all the same Did you hear me cry your name?
